I may be an aberration in that I get a new TV once every 10 years or more. The last TV I had I bought in 1992 and just recently gave it up for a larger flat screen. I doubt I'll be buying another for at least that long regardless of what tech fad comes along in the meantime. That said, in the same decade, I went from VHS to SVHS to DVD to DVDR to DVR. Those add on boxes are a lot easier to pull the trigger on than the large thing that displays the results. I think others may be in the same mind set as me and do the same.
Google TV may be a splash in the pan and be gone in a year or two but it also may develop into the next big thing. Android started out as a Geek curiosity and is now the #3 smartphone OS and rapidly closing in on Apple for the #2 spot. Who would have guessed this just a few short years ago? Since Google TV is basically an Android offshoot, once the SDK comes out there will be a legion of available and trained developers who will be offering cool applications. Only the future can tell for sure what will happen with this thing. Will it be the next Android success or will it "Wave" bye bye like some of the other less successful Google works? -John Coryat -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
