Hi,

But isn't relevance just as subjective, it depends on perspective,
context and expert knowledge / mastery of the app / platform /
domain ? How would it be automatically ranked ? By number of stars
given ? The authors/dev comment is usually a biased 5 star, your
competitor as usually a biased lesser number of stars & mentions their
alternative app. (For my app) I regularly see comments that are
positive but mention some missing app feature - that is usually
already supported - so only give 4 stars, which usually means the user
doesn't know or the feature is not 'intuitive' or easy to find / use.
Any ratings system has weaknesses that can be exploited, heck I've
seen someone spamming for a paid service where they offer an 'army' of
users to give good app ratings for a price (!) I'd prefer to see user
comments fixed in time & provision for a DEV response to each comment,
together with a URL link for more lengthy discussion in an (lightly
moderated) official open Android Market App Forum (just like this
forum) where both the user(s) and dev can continue a discussion at
length about the original comment.

Regards
