Hire a good accountant to take care of all your book keeping the first year or two. What I have found is they usually pay for themselves by finding tax breaks that are new/changed that apply to you. In my case I am a sole proprietor and my wife is the only employee. We were able to sign up for a program that allows me to offer my only employee full health coverage and then I am on her plan instead of having my own.
Don't forget you can deduct things like mileage to clients, a portion of all house utilities (if you work from home), charge yourself rent, hire your kids to empty the trash, etc. Lots of legal ways to keep more of your money from the govt.
