>it's better to have a home office and deduct the cost. You're right. That is actually what my tax guy has me doing (I forgot he ALSO corrected me on that front :-). Basically I take the square footage of my office and figure out what percentage that is of my house and then take that same percentage off utilities (i.e. electricity, gas, etc)
