As others have mentioned, I think you are correct as well as it
containing some scripts for beginners or something to that effect.

There is a site on their website that doesn't need you to download
anything, but I can't remember where it is exactly. Like I said in
another post, if anybody wants it, I'll look it up.

Actually, Freewwweb was up until a few months ago, one of those
ISPs where you pay a one time sign up fee (I think it was $150 or
something like that) and then it was free from then on. (Also of
interest is that once they removed the sign up fee, they required a
credit card number "for age verification" on sign up, but that scared
a lot of people away too and for awhile they told people to use 1111
2222 3333 4444 for a credit card number and I now believe that part
of the sign up is completely gone.) There also is talk that they
may start using ads ala the other Free ISPs, but I don't know if that
is still the plan. I don't think it was ever designed for any specific
OS, plus it has been around since before the recent trend to use
Linux.

Also, somebody else said something about Freewwweb being
owned by M$ via it's association with Snap. I'm not sure if this is
totally true. Freewwweb just started this association with Snap
recently (since becoming totally free I believe) and I think it is only
so that it may be totally free.
