The size of the pointer can't be changed.
But, you can experiment with the colors by changing this line in
Arachne.cfg:
MouseColors 15 10
( off link ^^ ||)
( on link.....^^)
( 15=white, 10=red)
So, mine is white when not over a link, red when over a link.
