By making a Linux version (and releasing the source) chances are larger
that Michael will get help from other sources with JavaScript and SSL.
The memmory problem will probably be there - but you will not notice it so
often since you have more memmory to play with (for good and worse of course).

Nope. And to give an example on how things are better with a Linux version
I actually found three small bugs (one wasn't mine <g>) in apm.exe today
and fixed them when I was putting the "final touches" on APM for Linux.
