Roger, you have expressed the reality of the situation ! It's Rruuff.

For the first time, I am in the position that most were in in the early '80s.
You could give them computer, and they wouldn't have the faintest idea what
to do with it. At that time, I was using CPM, and had NO problem thinking of
hundreds of uses for my various computers.

Now I have this THING. This albatross.

I doubt very much that I will ever use Linux for anything other than proving
to myself that I was right when I said Arachne for Linux will be bigger and
slower.
But that, by itself, may be a MAJOR job.

I said I had LINUX working. It could be as much as a MONTH before I find out
how to configure an internet connection. I can't even get a list of files.

All responses to "man" so far have given me NO useful info.
Like man man should give me something shouldn't it ?

Don't answer. I'm just venting.
I'll learn faster by trying it.
