Yes 1NOL will work, but you have to log on as username@1NOL and xms must
be added to your password. If you selected the password abcd, then you
would use abcdxms when you log on.
Juno recently acquired Worldspy, which would work without any special
software. Worldspy users were told that they would have to download and
use the Juno software in order to continue to get free service. I think
they were allowed to keep their existing email addresses. As I recall,
Juno requires Windows 95 or later.
There is also a way to use Netzero without their software. Many people
would consider this to be unethical, but you may want to be aware of it
in case you need to use it in an emergency.
I think this is the URL that describes the process:
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Cave/2812/netzero.html
It worked using Trumpet on Windows 3.1, so it should work with
Arachne.

I hope that's not the case, but those of you using FW as your primary ISP might want
to start looking around for another as a back-up. I haven't tried it with DOS yet, but
we just added DialFree as our freebie provider at http://accessmasters.com . It's
bannerless, non-platform-specific and free, but requires you to fill out a survey once
each month.
I think I remember someone on this list saying that 1NOL (One Nation Online -
http://www.1nol.com/) worked for them, so you might want to check that out as well.
Any other suggestions? I just thought I'd give you all a heads-up in case the Juno
rumor is true.
