I just logged onto Freewwweb (10:00 p.m., Thursday) and got the *old*
Freewwweb home page, not the Juno welcome. Earlier today I did, however, get
the Juno page inviting me to join Juno and spend 20 to 30 minutes downloading
their software.
Catching a bit of TV, there was a ad on the local Fox channel announcing a
completely free web access service. I went to their web site (www.kmsb.com)
and they had a link to My-FreeNet. System requirements were, naturally,
Windoze, and IE 4.0 to download whatever, but you could use any browser to
surf the web I tried to find a local telephone number, entered the state,
*and* the area code, but there was no button to click to find the number.
