Thanks for taking the time to reply.
But I have tried the reload (R) many times in the past
five months.... with no succes.... with no message
deleted from the index of the Inbox.
I have even gone into my "overkill" method with the
following:
I mark the message (Shift + Enter), no change in
the message count.
I delete (DEL), no change in the message count.
I reload (R), no change in the message count.
I Empty Trash, and reload (I), no change in the
message count.
I kill the cache (F8), no change in the message
count.
I reload (R) again, no change in the message count.
After all of the above steps, at any point that I may try
to read the message, it re-appears, as always. I simply
will not go away.
This leads me to the conclusion that getting out of an
"icon mode", whatever the hell that means, is the only
Arachne instruction I have not yet followed. The Hotkeys
instruct that you can NOT deleted from the inded in
Icon mode, or Icon interface.... whatever that means.
Thanks again for your patience and persistence with this
problem.
