L.D.:

No, I do not have all the answers. If I did, I would not have asked the
questions. You failed to understand my questions and your reply to the
effect that my theory may be wrong was out of context and cited the wrong
reasons for why I may be wrong. Some people have understood my questions
and informed me that I could do something along the lines of what I was
contemplating, but that there are some bugbears which would tend to
complicate matters. That is what I wanted to know, and I did get the
answers from people who have experience along these lines, especially Or
Botton, Bob Deering, and Eric Emerson. Roger Turk proposed a very good
way of dealing with my problem, but his solution would involve the purchase
of expensive software for partitioning my disk and for providing for
selectable multi-boot partitions, etc.

Thanks to all of you who replied, and even to those of who misunderstood
what I was attempting to discuss. Everyone's intentions were very good,
and that counts.

Best wishes to all for a happy holiday season,

Sam Heywood
