I just had a problem a few minutes ago. I was trying to access my
MAIL.HTM page and I was getting the Arachne Load Error page. I quickly
found the problem. MAIL.HTM had disappeared! It wasn't even listed
as a deleted file when I went into DRDOS "Undelete"! Fortunately I
had a backup copy of MAIL.HTM, and for this reason I was able to easily
fix the problem.
This problem should not have ever ocurred. I know I didn't do anything
wrong. Even if I had somehow inadvertently comitted some kind of stupid
mistake and deleted it, then it should have appeared listed as a deleted
file and possibly recoverable. The way I was able to recover from this
situation was simply by restoring the missing file from a backup copy.
So the moral of this story is that you should save a backup copy of
MAIL.HTM somewhere. What happened to me might happen to you.
