No. I do not use Smartdrive. I do not use delayed writes.
In AUTOEXEC.BAT I load NWCACHE this way:
NWCACHE 38100 5120 /LEND=ON /DELAY=OFF

I also get smiley faces from time to time in my ARACHNE.CFG. I never
use delayed writes. The smiley faces do not appear to be the cause
of any problems. They are the result of some problem. I think ARACHNE
just ignores the presence the smiley faces.
