Don't you have to dial one first? That's what made me think this
wasn't just the phone number. That and a quick reading of
the docs, where I read the note on the /D switch and got it
confused with the /d switch.



Anyway, I've discovered that your instructions only work if the
modem is in what Lsppp considers the default posistion. It appears
that I have to add some other switches so that Lsppp can find my
modem.

My modem is on comm 4, irq 3.   It does explain what needs to be
done in the docs--which may be clear to you and guru Clarence--
but they are a bit terse for the uninitiated like myself.

I'm sure I can get this to work after a little more study.
