Silly phone company. Which one are you stuck with? Ameritech is
trying the overlay route here in Southeastern Michigan, so far
without sucess. I guess it's easier for them to implement. The
area codes here have been dividing and multiplying every two
years or so. It's getting harder and harder to associate them
with geography. But so far, local calls remain just seven digits.

Well, as noted, it now dials and connects ok. Still doesn't find
the DNS server. But I'm sure I can fix that today.
Thre of the entries in my hotlist are just nmerical IP addresses
and Arachne goes to them ok with Lsppp. I think my syntax is
wrong with the secondary DNS number. Extra space or no space or
something like that.
Yes, RTFM helps after awhile. It just takes awhile for stuff to
soak in with me.
