I'm making progress. I added switches specifying comm port, irq,
and I think base value. It now dials and connects, but doesn't
find DNS numbers (I think) But oddly I could connect to 
three of the url's from my hotlist, but not the others. That
doesn't seem possible, does it?

Nor could it find my mail servers.

I'll try again tommorrow.
