I was online when it occurred.  According to the
information in the lower right hand corner of my Arachne
"TCP/IP" was being displayed in large uppercase green
letters *WHILE* the dialing was ocurring.  You can rule
out pressing ALT+D by mistake.  Even if I press ALT+D on
purpose nothing will happen.  With my setup I connect to
the internet outside of Arachne by using LSPPP.

What would be the purpose of someone's sending me the
string "+++ATDT[number]?  Would the purpose be merely
to annoy me?
