While on the main branch, I believe 'cvs up -j arcem-fast' followed by a 
'cvs ci' should merge in all the changes. You'll probably want to tag the 
branch as well, either to keep CVSWeb happy or to make it easier to merge 
in futurue (not that we'd be planning on doing any other merges in the 
future)

In my inexperienced eyes, this looks to be a pretty good guide to 
branching/merging in CVS:
