I've a vague recollection that CVS stores some intermediate build files for the Mac OS X port? Quite a few of them perhaps, e.g. arcem/macosx/build/ArcEm.build/ArcEm.pbxindex/decls.pbxbtree. I don't understand its build process but personally I'm in favour of having just the source present and assuming a developer will have what's needed to produce the intermediates.
