Hi Lucy, I'm sure you can. You just need to create the dropdown. I think this must be back end stuff though as you can't create a completely new dropdown through the RDM as far as I can tell.
Have you followed step 9 of the documentation for loading reference data? See http://arches3.readthedocs.org/en/latest/arches-data/#loading-reference-data That may help.
