This is the implementation of pure Java ARS. There are still a few C
plugins left but the AR System as of v9 is Java. I don't think you should
even see an arserver.exe process anymore because are server is now running
in a JVM. At least I don't remember seeing arserver.exe. My observations
and others I have talked to is that the memory consumption is a bit higher
but I don't think outrageously so.

On a slight side note, some of our ITSM environments (mostly non-prod)
would tend to hang because of a Java plugin locking out new logins (and
sometimes other things). I had started (a bad) habit of running 'taskkill
/S <serverame> /IM java.exe' to quickly kill the plugins and allow the
system to start functioning again. The first time I did that against a v9
system, while tailing armonitor.log and arerror.log, it took me a minute to
figure out why AR Server was restarting. Then I had that ah ha moment, "oh
yeah, AR Server is Java now."
