I don't think you get my point.  When a company chooses to open the
source on a product, they are accepting a HUGE risk.  They choose a
product they feel they can afford to lose to competitors via
copy-catting.

Would BMC do that with a flagship product like ARS? Come on!

Well...I think asking a vendor to open the source to a commercial
product is definitely dreaming.  Open the source so a competitor can
steal your intellectual property? I don't think so...
