No - just the SLM Data Collector module. ________________________________

Is the Java plugin server used by any AR System functions or components (aka MT/FB)? We had heaps of trouble with the normal plugin server running when the java one was enabled. I commented it out and the normal/regular one started working. As of this time the 7.1 java plugin server is not used by the base applications EXCEPT for the SLM Data Collector. ________________________________ From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rick Cook Sent: Friday, May 23, 2008 2:27 PM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Re: Having trouble reaching plug-in server ** ps -ef | grep plug root 27281 27246 0 11:23 pts/2 00:00:01 java -Xmx512m -classpath /opt/ar/remedy-app/pluginsvr:/opt/ar/remedy-app/pluginsvr/arpluginsvr71. jar com.bmc.arsys.pluginsvr.ARPluginServerMain -x <servername> -i /opt/ar/remedy-app -m root 28179 27246 0 12:00 pts/2 00:00:00 ./arplugin -s <servername> -i /opt/ar/remedy-app Looks like it's running to me. When I tried the latter, the plugin server failed to run - I had to run the patch installer, which apparently modified the cfg files properly - there were errors on the port showing up in the arjavaplugin.log. This was several months ago, and showed up when SLAs were not working properly after the patch. Pity that all of the relevant KBs seem to relate only to Windows (sigh). Anyway, trying to run escalation to turn on logs at a certain time, but I get an error message in the arerror.log file.
