Are you sure it is Remedy that parses the cover sheet today? I would think it is the Fax receive software that is doing that and then calling an API program to attach the fax. Are you replacing the fax receive software?

Today they print a cover sheet that has several barcodes on it, including the request number for the ARS record. They then fax the cover sheet and the document to a fax number and the 'system' reads the faxed barcodes on the cover sheet and attaches the document to the appropriate service request. Our problem is that we have no idea how to build the same capability into a custom ARS application. Does anyone have any ideas?
