Can someone who has installed Email Engine Patch 8 share with me first
few lines from their emaild.sh_log. I am trying to figure out the
current patch and I am being told by support that emaild.sh_log will
have the details. But I donot see in mine even after patch is installed.

just like as if you are installing the product. the installer will backup

I do with email.solaris.tar.gz. All the document says is "Uncompress
email.aix.tar.gz, email.hpux.tar.gz, email.linux.tar.gz, and
email.solaris.tar.gz". Do I just untar this in my ar directory and start the
remedy server?
