They are not required to be on the same computer, you do not have to run them
on the Server, it is beneficial since one of the outputs of BPCU will be
converted to a Migrator file to allow compaison to the references server.

Subject: Help with Best Practices Conversion Utility

I have been researching several BMC documents and getting nowhere fast.
finally found the BPCU hidden within the install of ARS 7.6.04. As
'm trying to set this up the document wants me to now run BMC Migrator
ool and Disable Forms: Name and Owner.
My question is, should I have both of these utilities running on the
ame server?
I have 3 servers involved with my upgrade, the are:
1. App server: cdav5apprmd01 (bpcu app is install here)
. Mid-Tier server: cdav5webrmd01 (Migrator is installed here)
. MS SQL db: cdav5sqlrmd01
thanks for your time,
Larry B.
