We've been trying to bring in consultants over the past few years, with varying degrees of success. I can assure you that the market for Remedy is the strongest I've seen it since the dotcom boom. We had to offer a difficult rate (from management's perspective) just to start receiving resumes. It also seems like very few people want to hire full time employees, which also convinces a lot of good people to stay put if they have families or don't want to travel.
Fortunately we aren't looking to bring anyone else in at the moment, because the market is hot and with 8.0 will probably get hotter over the next year or two. A year from now all the job offers will probably have to include daily round trip private jet access to fly the contractor to their house and back. A few weeks ago I posted that I have an opening at my company for a Remedy Developer with ITSM experience in Colorado Springs and the only responses I got back where asking where I was going. Is the remedy market so strong at the moment that everyone is fully employed, and happy where they are? Are there really not enough Remedy Developers in the market to support the current demand?....this is a good thing mind you, but I'm looking for my replacement and can't seem to find one...
