Deep breaths, Claire.

It’s just easier to roll your own copy to new since you have control over
copying or clearing certain fields.
I disabled Ctrl-T years ago and only gave the “Copy a Ticket”” button to those
that needed it and would be careful with it.
It’s all about the control, muhahaha
Thank you,

Thank you for your input! I finally found last night the one of the answers I
was looking for and you confirmed it! Copy to New does not work in ITSM.

BMC… WTF! One of the greatest complaints from users when switching from the
User Tool to the Web is not having COPY TO NEW!

You tell us it is available and it really isn’t! Bait and switch! I was not
able to sleep last night so I got pen and paper out (gasp) and drew out the
process and I will freaking build it myself! Someone at my company is being
courted by SNOW, you better step up your game!

7604 Server should work fine with 8.1 Mid-tier. Please note that 8.0 Midtier
onwards IE7 won’t work. Yes, one would get performance gain in newer versions
of midtier and additional security fixes.
Copy to new should work fine with Midtier upgrade. It would work fine with
custom forms; the whole feature copy to new is not fully consumed in
Applications and there would be gaps with respect to the said feature in
Applications.

Ravi

Subject: Mid-Tier 8.1 upgrade and Copy to New

I have checked the compatibility charts… I just want some real world
clarification.

If I install the Mid-Tier 8.1, I can still run my 7.6.04 Server? Also, if I
want the Copy to New functionality… is it just a Mid-Tier upgrade or an AR
Server Upgrade as well?

Has anyone had any real problems with MT 8.1 and ARS 7.6.04?

Thanks!!
