The basic question (as I understood it from C'da's posting) was the accordance (lack of it) of humanity by the Govt. No one really says that insurgents should NOT be given due process of the law and NOT be treated humanely. But shouldn't there also be a quid quo pro? Shouldn't the so many innocent people and children killed also be be given some of that? Do common people deserve some humanity, be left alone to go about their business? I just don't know any more!
