And that's ok, it's allowed from RFCs too

The issue is strange, in general an MTA should discard a message
in case the SMTP session isn't correctly completed; I've a number
of ASSP v2 running in front of several MTAs and never experienced
such a behaviour ... although I have to say that I never tried it with
MailEnable since I usually prefer hMailServer but even then, the
fact that MailEnable does *accept* and *route* such messages
sounds really odd to me
