Thanks for the feedback Darrick;  It seems like it start to boot with the
586 image, although I cant see any info on the terminal after "GRUB loading"

I tried different settings with the terminal and baud with no luck.

Kevin,

I do plan on getting an ALIX.  Should be very similar to the net5501 
board.  You'll likely have to use an image from trunk or asterisk-beta. 
  The kernel is newer in there than in the 0.4 releases.  We should see 
a 0.5 release soon (although soon is to be determined, but I'm hoping 
for the end of the month unless some big problem is discovered).
