Thanks for the suggestions to get the runnix working. I am back to figuring
how to get Astlinux to work as a standalone PBX. My environment is astlinux
sitting behind a nat router listening on an untagged VLAN (eth0?) and also
listening on a tagged VLAN. We may or may not need DHCP on the interface
but will not need routing support through astlinux. I would like to do this
without modifying the startup scripts if possible so we can preserve the
easy upgrade to a new version.

When I option the VLANS in the rc.conf for ETH0 it doesn't seem to work
although I can manually add them through he CLI. Any suggestions as how to
accomplish this.

I also see I have the system hung at starting up at starting ntpd....

Can the system be accessed at the bootloader level to correct the existing
config?

Thanks,

Kevin

Kevin,

Please look at the instructions here. The images are in runnix format
(basically they are squashfs images that need to be loaded by the runnix
boot loader. This page will explain how to do that.

http://www.astlinux.org/node/28

Once you've done that, you copy the contents of the tar.gz into the 'os'
directory, edit the astlinux-xxx.run.conf file appropriately and boot.

Future updates involve placing new files in that 'os' directory. These new
updates allow you to update a system without removing the CF at all.
