Hopefully Lonnie will pop his head in here.  I changed from openntp to 
ntp in the latest images (Kevin please reference the SVN number so we 
know for sure that is the case).  There should be a timeout after which 
booting should proceed.  We may need to make some adjustments though in 
the init script.

ntp resolves some issues we were seeing with openntp which is why I made 
the switch.  This is why we are doing the extended testing though.

Lonnie, do you have any ideas on how to resolve this hang?  I thought 
ntp would gracefully exit if the ntp server could not be reached 
immediately.  (or is this because the ntp server is specified by name 
and not by IP address?)

Kevin, give that a try.  Put in a known good ntp server by IP address 
instead of by name in the rc.conf file to see if that helps at all.
