Having the "DHCP discover during the RUNNIX load" failing is not unusual, since 
the 'first' ethernet interface in RUNNIX may not be your chosen EXTIF ethernet 
interface in AstLinux, don't let that bother you.  Personally, I always disable 
RUNNIX DHCP by commenting out the NDEV variable in 
"/oldroot/cdrom/os/default.conf".

Does (assuming DHCP on EXTIF is desired)...

$ cat /tmp/mydhcpip

show anything?  Of not, DHCP failed.  Upstream may be the problem.  Possibly 
fix the EXTIP with a static address and gateway.
