Well, I can do that, sure, but that's nothing to do with the issue - all my other boxes are set up with static EXTIF, and all successfully get a Runnix DHCP lease. The reason I mentioned it at all was to show that something was wrong with the NICs, not to say there was an issue with DHCP, either at a Runnix level or in Astlinux. On the other boxes, the Runnix DHCP request succeeds, even though Astlinux then subsequently uses a static address. On this box, even the Runnix DHCP request fails, and once into Astlinux, the NICs do not work.
To summarize: forget about DHCP, as this issue is nothing to do with it. My statically assigned EXTIF, in an EXTIF-only system, seems not to work. The Astlinux box can ping the address of the NIC itself, but nothing beyond it. Any ideas?
