I've always thought Meridian speakers had fairly high WAF, but they are pretty pricey. Sound great, look good, cost lots. Sigh.

I drive my Sonus Faber Concertos with a Classe integrated rated at 150 watts per channel. With a REL Stadium (?forget the number) subwoofer. The 150 watts is plenty, it is the low stuff that sucks power, and the REL has its own amp for that. The combination of Sonus Fabers, sub and amp was about $6000 Don't know if that is in your budget.
