I don't know about other people but if nothing else I used to hear the disc spinning in my CD players even across the room. My computer is two stories above where I listen to my main Squeezebox system I don't hear the computer at all. That makes quite a difference for me. I very rarely listen to any CD's in my player and now I even seldom listen to my SACD's even though they sound better to me than the CD layer that I've ripped to Slimserver. The Squeezebox has made it so convenient to me that I would rather just listen to that than dig up a physical SACD. Also, playing through my Benchmark DAC1 it sounds so good that I don't bother finding the SACD's even though they sound a bit better. The SB3 does a great job on its own - but to me the DAC1 is a little better.
