I too wasn't to happy with the Digital output on the SB, so i went and invested in the Beresford TC-7510, and I've been very very impressed. I compared my Music Fidelity A3 CD player with the SB + Beresford TC-7510, and whilist there are still some difference, I'd rsay was right up there in terms of detail, sound stage and bass response. And its a snip at 100 pounds including p&p, and if you don't like it, just return it for a refund.
I can also add that the customer service from Stanley Beresford is very good.
