Mister Pig, Firstly, performance upgrades. A lot of us use linear regulated power supplies for our SB3. Many of us have reported improvements using these (once they have burned in for a week or two). See mine here: http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/Batteries+&+Power+Supplies/AC+to+DC/UNBRANDED/AD-12100R/displayProduct.jsp?sku=PW00187 Secondly, I see you are new to computer-based audio. I am sure there is going to be a learning curve. Please bear in mind that a lot of this learning curve is not related to the SB3 particularly. Getting computer-based audio set up in a way that is FLEXIBLE and avoids PROPRIETARY LOCK-IN has a certain amount of learning involved that can't be avoided.
