Phil,
I have no earthly idea why ANY digital cables, coax or toslink, etc
sound different.  I mean, it's supposedly ones and zeroes, right?  So,
given that I have suspended my disbelief long ago, assume it has
something to do with timng, jitter, digital noise, who knows... I will
say that the plastic toslink cables I have tried all sound slightly
rolled off at both ends of the frequency spectrum vs glass or good true
75 ohm bnc coax.  Why?....heck if I know.
