One other advantage which I didn't hear mentioned, but just occurred to me. If you are considering both SB3 and transporter, this could imply that you wish to have them both playing simultaneously at some times. With SB3/transporter, this is painless -- they can each simultaneously play independent audio streams, or you can synch them up. With a PC, this would be trickier. You'd either need two PCs, or have one PC but set it up to output audio streams to two different sound cards.
