For the HD player I use three layers of isolation under the gear. My problem is that the hdd vibrates the player which is transfered to the wooden box tV support.
I have a thibk piece of mdf a piece of bubblewarp and then another piec of mdf under the kit. works a treat. every change of audio impedance is likely to adsorb sound and/or vibration.
