If you haven't changed your Motorola DVR in awhile go back and tell them
it's not working right. Make up something like it's losing recordings.
You have to take it in because if you call them they'll send out
someone that will mess with it and make you keep it.  Just show up with
it in hand and hopefully they have  the new motorola dvr which is much
quieter than the older ones.  Thats about the only way you can find out
if the have new ones because they don't want everyone switching so they
don't advertise the fact.  Some do get noisier so it's worth switching
even if it's the same box.  My first one was a lot noisier than my
second one which was the same.  This new one I don't even hear it. You
pay good money for the service and you should have the best DVR that
they have.
