Thanks gentlemen, I'll reset the jumpers today. 

It is interesting to me that at -10db we get a better balance of sound,
that is, not so glaring and a little less dynamic. Less dynamics in our
setup is a good thing. In fact it seems that we have a "dynamic"
control between the 2 volume controls. On older material with a limited
dynamic range, we simply turn up the TP's volume control and on some
current over-processed music the TP's volume goes down and the Cary's
goes up.
