I have a related question, that someone here might have an answer for. I use the digital outputs from the TP with an external dac and a pre-amp. I also like to use the analog outputs from the TP for connecting to a set of headphones I use occasionally.
At earlier firmware releases the digital output could be "Fixed" while the analog output leveles still could be adjusted via the remote. That's not the case anymore. It would be useful for me to set the the TP to variable output volume (adjusting both digital and analog outputs as it is now) and leave it at maximum volume exept when using the headphones. I wonder, if I use variable volume setting at max volume (0.00 dB), will the signal quality be exactly the same as if I set it to fixed, or will the fixed setting be the best quality ?
