Not quite. What Callesroe is saying is that IF for any reason the TP
"forgets" its digital loop setting, it will go direct from the TP volume
(@ 100%) to the TP DAC, missing out the loop (with the TACT and its
volume control in). Now the TP is playing @ 100% into whatever is
connected to the TP dac output...

By the way, this is NOT an approved setup. If you are playing any
digital device, you MUST have some form of digital or analogue volume
control or attenuators between the output of the digital device/dac and
your power amplification. Otherwise any bug or unexpected behaviour
could cause your system to play at full volume which could blow your
speakers and/or amp.

Are you using balanced or unbalanced from TP to the W5?
If unbalanced, set the internal attenuators in the TP, if balanced you
will need to source some inline attenuators.
