Yes - 10dB is perfectly adequate. Apparently Endler make some very high quality (expensive) balanced attenuators. I Used to use Rothwells (unbalanced) - also perfectly fine - but for what is essentially 2 resistors in a plug... a bit expensive :-). In all seriousness, there is very little point in paying premium price for attenuators. At line level, a pair of resistors is going to do nothing to compromise your sound quality. Think of the attenuators as a fuse or as insurance - there for your protection, and much cheaper than an amp or speaker repair/replacement. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
