If the OP is prepared to contemplate a new amp with balanced inputs, then given that the TP is pretty much EOL, I think it makes more sense to keep the Duet and buy a DAC with balanced outputs (eg. Benchmark, Lavry, etc). I'm an enthusiastic TP owner and don't for a second regret buying it, but with the writing on the wall it doesn't seem a sensible investment today. If it were from the likes of Arcam/Quad/Meridian/Linn/Naim I wouldn't be so concerned, because those companies would continue to service it. But my guess is that if my TP ever turns up its toes, Logitech will probably duck out of offering to fix it (unless it's a simple motherboard swap and they happen to have some available). -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79496 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
