Good to hear there as it least some serious discussion from Logitech. I still think it is more than a low volume, vanity product. I believe strongly that many of you folks vastly underestimate how much of an impact this device has had on the audiophile world and along with that, it sits on many an audiophiles rack. I know for a fact that many dealers could net keep enough of these in stock to supply all their demands... even up until recently. If you follow some of the regular forums, which I know many of you do, look at all the query's answered with "the Logitech Transporter, perfect solution for what you are looking for...". It truly has become the benchmark. Sales were there guys and the margin has to be way more than adequate. There is more to the story.
As far as changes to the current device, you guys are pretty aggressive! Grant it, as I have stated many times, most of you are on a higher tech plane than I. I find it close to perfect for my needs as it is now. I would wish for an improved DAC and volume control that performed to the level of my Berkeley. This would give me a one box solution I would love. Maybe improving the analog output section too, bringing it up to the level of the Modwright version would be swell. Along with that, the ability to play higher resolution files beyond just 24/96. OK ...while I'm at it...maybe improving the power supplies as well. I have noticed it is very sensitive to power cords and conditioners and am assuming this is why....this purely guesswork though. I have zero issues with all the other stuff...USB etc...only interested in better sound.... -- richardw ------------------------------------------------------------------------ richardw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32135 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80282 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
